The train that was supposed to take me from Rotterdam to Utrecht this morning broke down in the middle of the trip. Gave us an interesting viewpoint over the A20 freeway. For quite a while....  #trip #delay #ns

Those sound-walls help to keep the neighborhood of the high-speed trains livable, but the view from the new train itself is uninteresting. #trip

Over the course of the last 4 years, Rotterdam Central Station has been completely renovated. Many times I have taken pictures (with my phone's camera, sorry), focusing on the area around track 1-3 where the action started and ended. 

The overpass in Rotterdam Central Station is closed because of the weather. It will take a little longer to change trains today. #ns #trip #snow

I realized that over the course of the years I have been visiting several quite different areas of the globe. This made me decide to make a special cross section of the pictures that I have taken over the years: a set with as special property that any pair of pictures selected from the set are always taken at more than 1000 km distance from each other. The result: 21 pictures, representing 21 completely separate circles of 500 km radius, about 3% of the earth's surface. I still have a long way to go!
